Report all harrassment to the harassment contact person
There are many types of harassment, and harassment can be experienced in your free time, during work placements or at campus by students or teaching staff or other staff. Harassment is one of the forms of discrimination, which includes, for example, sexual harassment rather than harassment by sex.
Every individual has the right to a life free from harassment and to a safe life. The individual must not be subjected to inappropriate treatment or inappropriate behavior, or violence. The study environment does not include inappropriate, discriminatory or offensive behavior. The study environment also does not include inappropriate messages or speeches.
Events organized by the student union always have harassment contact persons, who are usually mentioned at the beginning of the event or in the event announcement. The student union is committed to preventing harassment and addressing harassment situations.
According to Section 8 of the Equality Act, no one may be discriminated against on the basis of age, origin, citizenship, language, religion, belief, opinion, political activity, trade union activity, family relationships, health condition, disability, sexual orientation or any other reason related to the person.
KOE's harassment contact persons support, help, advise and guide you if you have experienced or witnessed harassment and want to report it. The student union harassment contact persons are either students or student union employees, they provide help and support in handling the situation. Persons associated with harassment are bound by a duty of confidentiality, and they do not take any measures without the person's consent. No record is kept of notifications or their authors.
